For our mood board, my group and I compiled images that the song evoked and what we immediately took to sought inspiration. For example, there are images from music videos such as Paramore's "Now" where the use of props immediately came to mind thus providing an idea to use and develop in our music video in order to effectively display the songs lyrics. Another aspect we began to consider was the locations and what sort of areas are appropriate in representing the theme of the song. A mutual agreement was that we should use natural landscapes such as forests, woodland areas and beaches. Therefore our next step is to consider where is suitable in terms of area but also convenience for us and our actors in order to be able to easily get to our chosen location.

I like the way you are developing your planning Chloe. I have posted the following onto Bethany's blog:
ReplyDeleteI've just been on a river trip on The Broads, leaving from Wroxham. To add visual appeal you could hire a little boat from Wroxham and take some moving images of skimming along the water. There are some marvellous views from the river, of the birds and we also saw a flock of swans skimming across the top of the river. Just a thought but good weather is forecast and this would provide you with some great footage.
To reach Level 4 you need to tightly link your planning tightly to similar generic music videos, or films or any other media text or visual artist who has inspired your ideas.
You need to explain why the specific locations you have identified would be appealing, whilst linking them to the lyrics.
ReplyDeleteRemember Goodwin's Theory, you need to explain the relationship between the lyrics and visuals, do they illustrate, amplify or contradict the lyrics?
