Potential Tracks

This band, "The Capers", is based in London and immediately I relate it to 1970's London in which I can get inspiration from the well known monuments and highlight these associations of England within the music video. It has a lot of potential and immediately I am thinking of potential ideas that would provide an entertaining video suitable for this song. When I first heard this song by the band, "Factory", I immediately related it to the well known band Kasabian and therefore I can gain inspiration from their style of videos in order to reflect them as a band. This song definitely tells a story providing a great stimulus for planning a music video therefore having great potential.

  1. “Hold Your Hand out Girl” (The Capers) : Clear lyrics, fairly strong lyrics and beat. Fairly average and with long section in the middle without lyrics you’d need to plan visuals carefully and take a variety of shots in a variety of locations. The track has a retro 50’s rock’n roll sound.
“Too Far Tony” (Factory) This is a very long track (over 4 minutes, not that this matters) but is a challenge for planning and the edit. It’s OK but perhaps not as strong as The Caper’s track. But you could make the decision because you may have a concept in mind.
I suggest you email both artists asking for permission and to keep on looking.
Well done Chloe for evaluating ideas and getting stuck into this.
